Red-eyed blackies are given the opportunity for redemption–red-eyed whities, too. Something about cliche subversion there, generally. But I can’t think of a single red-eyed brunette (usually a 2ndML) who gets even a tragic *redemption*–at best they’re irredeemable yanderes who refrain from WORST ENDING scenarios just because the person they’re fixated on tells them not to. Not that they’re all that common to begin with.
Anyway, certain genre-specific stereotypes are converging to tell me this guy is BAD news. I could be wrong. But I might not be.
