This is so weird that they rushed this from the novel, she wasn’t supposed to have found out about the letters until after she had moved to the North. Also just to clarify she does accept the engagement but in the novel she accepted before she knew about the letters and she was mad for a while but she “understood” why they did what they did, so she still ends up marrying Claude!

I really hope she won’t accept… she suffered and had to endure a lot only to finally meet her mother and you prefer to act on your own under the pretext “to protect you”, really?? Is this the way to protect the woman you claim to cherish?? Not even a word to her? Man…

Man, I get that they were trying to protect her and all but there had to have been a better way. It should be obvious that her entire life has been spent waiting and searching for her mother; destroying the last semblance of hope to claim “legitimacy” is not right. If Louver is being removed, that means the loss of Camellia’s mother as well; she won’t accept this engagement whatsoever.
