This one really want me to drop. Why is Hess became like this. She not obsessed with Kaelus, she is obviously obsessed with Diana. What wrong with her.
I like this manga version than the novel. Hestia was resigned to what kaelus wanted there. This time around she fought back. I hope she continues to fight for this.

Kael doesn’t like conflict and this is his way of saying that it didn’t matter at all to him, like indifferent is the best neglect.
He doesn’t want Hestia to feel guilty about it,
What Diana did is by herself with Hestia provocation.
Let’s the end result happen without Kael practically push him out of the ladder because even he believes it will happen.
Also Hestia is questioning if she did changes anything, if she did earn his hearts.
This is why you shouldn’t meet the person your partner fall in love in the past, it can messed with your head cause you can’t actually see if he had moved on or not b

For example, this scene was longer, they talk, he leaves the next day to save Diana, then when he comes back he sees Hestia on the balcony and runs to her, but she doesn’t start screaming at him, in the novel she doesn’t show her anger, instead she becomes numb. It was a weird part, when she sees Kael crying she starts to apologize with no emotion, “i am bad, i made my favorite cry, i should comfort him”.
After she calms down a little he asks her to go on a trip, away from the capital and she asks for more time to think it over.
After that he doesn’t leave her side until Helios as his alter self comes to visit. Hess finally leaves him embrace and goes to the garden to let them talk. Then Helios comes and talks with her “i asked kaelus to save Diana, we can’t let the royal family be so easily manipulated by what the nobels want, if we do that it be like when Duke Orcus(or how you spell it) was alive” “what you want is not for Diana to loose her title, you want her to feel the same pain that Kael felt and i can guarantee that she won’t learn anything if she is let go from her position, instead, if she remains with me and we will try to make up for what we did.” Etc etc I don’t remember the exact wording, but this is close.
Hestia thinks this over and agrees with him, hoes back to kaelus and tells him “instead of a vacation, why don’t we leave for the Attica territory” that is far away in the north and that’s how the couple leaves.

The emperor in on his death bed and ask for Kaelus (who is like a second son to him) so they come back to the capital. Kael talks with the emperor then they go home and host a small welcome party where Hestia gets sick eating a piece of cake and someone asks if she is pregnant.
They go see a doctor and it’s true.
That is how the main story ends. But we still have the epilogue.
In which the couple learn throughout the pregnancy from books how to deal with a baby.
The royal couple breaks up (Finallyyyy) because people started pointing firgers at them for not birthing a royal heir, that’s when Heli, pressured by the nobels and without his excuse “Kael doesn’t have a baby yet”, asks Diana if she will have a baby with him. And that’s when she thinks “I don’t want to be a breeding tool for the royal family” so they divorce. Heli comes to the duke couple for help in choosing a new bride, Hestia does give her opinion and he goes with that girl. A really nice girl👍
They get married but Hestia doesn’t go to the wedding cuz she is close to giving birth, but she did meet with the girl, Lady Yuno, and her family when they first came to the capital.
Now it’s a funny part, Yuno, with a notice visit letter beforehand(unlike someone), visits Hestia, and while they talk, Hestia goes into labor and gives birth to a son, Creos. Everyone is happy. Yey
Then at his 100 day they take him to visit the emperor. Shortly after that the emperor dies.
A little time passes and Yuno gets pregnant (she becomes close with Hestia) and then it ends.
But not for too long, cuz we have side stories😂
It’s a couple of years in the future, when they have 2 more kids, a boy Leon (it’s short for something but i don’t remember what) and a girl Cree (that again i forgot what is short for). The royal couple also have one or 2 kids but I don’t remember anything about them😅
The side stories are centered around the kids.
I wish we found out more about the other characters 🥲
And that’s how it finally ends.
Was this a lot? Yes but i feel like a lot of yall are forgetting that Hess was also unwell mentally from the jump. She’s been so invested in this that she can’t separate her hatred towards them from his. She died, like actually died and the day she came back it was all about healing him. She also has a crap ton of trauma that hasn’t even been really acknowledged or addressed yet.
Yeah I’m in the camp of WTH Hess Kiel was the one hurt and yes you fought hard. But at the end of the day its his choice if he forgives or choose to push for punishment. She can and has a right be and stay pissed but needs to respect his choice. Besides I get him wanting the CP come to the reality his wife is trash on his own.
She is devastated thinking everything she did changed nothing. That Diana has still a special place in Kaels heart. She is questioning her self worth and her purpose. You know she was totally fixated on Kael and prioritized him, making him her life goal. And now she crumbles because she thinks that he is falling back into his old behavior. She can’t see that he made his decision because the cp and cps didn’t matter to him anymore. She didn’t get that she is his happiness. She is caught up in the story plot and didn’t really get that this is her reality and that she changed everything. I hope Kael can make it clear to her and support her this time and I also hope that Hess is starting to see her own value.
