It is funny how Diana blames Hestia for everything while her marriage was doomed even without Hestia.
My theory why Diana was loosing her powers is because she become from actually carrying saintess to entitled, spoiled princess
tbh I feel like Helios and Kael was getting the end of the stick in this story, they don’t actually love Diana because the Diana they were shown was the plot protagonist Diana, not the actual her.
Case in point, Helios acted the same at the end with or without Hestia because he simply put being a ruler and maintain harmonious marriage above his own feeling.
Not saying Helios is great, it just as person or character, he has priorities beside his own life.
Diana on the other hand has never really work to get anyone approval but when she got challenged and her opinion was contested, he thought everyone is wrong, never self reflected.
the problem with Diana is that she creates problems and blame it on others she would never acknowledge that she was wrong ,even now she thinks if she had chosen kael she would have been happy but in reality she would have created troubles for kale

Diana is a textbook narcissist. She only cares about herself and her feelings. She’s in love with no one but herself.
For anyone wondering (as far as I remember from the novel), Diana doesn’t die, but she does lose her title as Crown Princess. Even so, she still visits the palace sometimes, since the Emperor still calls for her now and then. I think he still sees her as his daughter.

Helios is no angel, but he’s a hell of a lot better than Diana who seems possessed by her desire to stay the perfect saintess, even though that’s genuinely not possible anymore. at least Helios is making an actual effort in their relationship and in healing his friendship with Kaelus. Diana is just coming off as deranged now
