It also goes to show the balance needed to rule a country. You need the support of other nobles, not just the commoners. Even if you have to play their little games and sacrifice some things. Because a king and queen should not have all the authority alone. Not a full on democracy bc the nobles would have too much power and never agree on anything, but more like a monarchy with strings attached.
