@sagamasamune Yes, her monologue here is taken from that balcony scene. If you notice, even from season 1, they changed several orders of the scene. Look at season 1 afterwords in webtoon english, they planned this series end in season 2 from the start, so it makes senses for the change.
It’s soo different from the novel and the timeline of the events also changed, she was supposed to be sitting in the edge.
But well maybe that part will be included later on
Why was this moment depicted now in the manga? It was supposed to happen at the end, after the scandal with Pothos’ boat and after the demands for Diana’s dethronement gain massive traction. After the temple is completely exposed. The moment was so gut wrenching and hard on Hess and readers because Kael went against her efforts and helped Helios “for “good of the royal family and nations stability”. There was an actual reason for him to believe that Hess might jump (and her thoughts were on a very dark path)…
This makes no sense and just waters down such a big moment between them 🙁
I literally waited a year for this moment and it’s so damn disappointing! Hestia was supposed to be sitting on the edge, and even wondering if jumping from there could take her back to the real world. Kaelus was supposed to shout her name and yank her from the balcony, both stumbling back.
