I think comment section trust emperor’s word too much. I think he want his brother to be as miserable as possible, so he desided on this marriage and when it looked like his brother and future bride starting to get along, Duke suddenly stop showing up(Emperor grounded him🙃/s). And we did see Emperor burn the letter from FL.
If Emperor know about FL’s illness, I think it’s part of plan too. Even if they start to get along Duke can’t be happy, becouse his wife will probably die young, so he will be alone again.
I am not saying FL is dumb/annoying or anything like that, She have every right to be angry at her situasion, I just think that she should be angry at Emperor not Duke, but it’s not like she know everything we do, So I get why she is angry at Duke…

People talking here about the princess being annoying are laughable. You say she don’t know the burden of her status, she got married anyway. The whole marriage here felt like a unilateral transaction where she was not even allowed to meet her groom to be for once, that’s only thing she demanded from those b***ard emperor. The grand Duke might b some great husband candidate but don’t forget he never for once considered her feelings. This is as good as kidnapping and forced marriage decorated as “royal family status burden”. U people feel sympathetic for the Duke bcoz he’s pitiful and looks like an innocent bunny!!! How hypocritical!!!!

Y’all are calling her annoying but you definitely don’t understand her perspective, she would’ve been fine to just marry the duke if it wasn’t by force or there was a threat that there would be a war of course it would leave a bitter taste to be force to marry a guy you thought you could trust and be safe with especially when she wanted to marry for love not marry the guy you just met, oh he was nice to her? The bar is so low for you to consider that’s enough to be marriage material. Her anger was valid and the Duke should’ve done a different approach if he wanted to marry her.
You readers often wanting a complex female characters but in reality you can’t handle them because they are not your self inserts

I don’t understand what happened lol and why the emperor refused to let them even meet. Like why?? Maybe it will explained later but it reminded me of “Grand Duke is Mine” where ML disguise himself in his wedding because he suspect the FL as spy but in this case I couldn’t comprehend it why he didn’t meet her or rather why the emperor didn’t let them meet and seems to be hostile to the princess whenever she tried to meet or contact him

i know…(imma trying to calm my mine) she’s kinda annoying, right? Enoch didn’t say HE loves her from their last meeting, am i right?? I understand.. that she was raised inside, with a loving brother and family (except the father🙄) but shouldn’t she have an idea or two about the burden of being a princess?? Shouldn’t she would try to investigate why it happened that way??!? I mean come on!! Why are you getting angry at him when it was the emperor who made it that way!!
