@Shiyuu to answer your question scarifies can be anything, it just differs from culture to culture. In Catholicism (or maybe other Abrahamic religions idk) there was a old ritual sacrifice back then that they would kill goats and that goat will be the one who would bear the town’s sins and that’s like how the word “scapegoat” came from.
Another was the sacrifices of the Aztec where they would scarifies other humans to their gods (where one god who fights for the end of the universe so it doesn’t die and let all their monsters be left undefended) and also since they believed that the land was a ancient monster and beast that their gods formed to be their earth and they need to feed it blood to subdue it and make it no longer reform and kill everyone.
