I like the concept but talk about a society of hero worshiping incompetents. The recruits were facing level 2 monsters in the test. It was stated that above a level 3 is more then a recruit can handle but yet the first core of mages can’t handle 4’s and 6’s without their Idol? And all they can do is stand around and praise him over and over. it is just the Edda arc all over again. It’s a couple of skilled characters and a mountain of jerks and incompetents. I will give this one a bit more but on the fence. Hope things turn around.

I might drop this if the author puts too much of these brainless people who go against the mc even after seeing he is strong.
