phones working is odd but for the mc he can charge it with electricity so yea but for others no. as for not being able to gather resources, imagine having to walk 5 miles in super deep snow and its freezing cold and you only have regular shoes and jeans on. your probably not going to make it far. also its a mind set thing where you have lived your life in such convivence that when a drastic change occurs you will not be able to adapt immediately. on top of also being hungry the more days that go by you will not have the strength to even walk that far much less in snow which uses more energy each step you take. mc was indeed an idiot when he showed off but its in human nature to show off. you cant just change it immediately especially after you gone through the worst in your past life you want to show off that in this life your living much better. showing off is a natural thing especially for people who are generally not well off. its because they know how to appreciate what they are showing off. but for example if you are born and always rich your whole life there isn’t much to show off anymore. and even if they do show off it would just be something that is normal in their eyes but extravagant in the poor’s.

Why does author make MC an idiot as well by showing his wealth during the apocalypse? Very typical Chinese made manhwa /we novels, they always seem to like showing off Nad yearn for acknowledgement and cause unnecessary trouble for themselves. They don’t know how to make them stay low for some reason.
