I am guessing his parents left him to enjoy their “freedom” , while leaving him to take responsibility of the house and chained by this marriage promise , that’s why he doesn’t wanna get attached and be abandoned and is a play boy who flaunts the resources at his disposal because they came at the price of his “freedom” I guesse he feels like the fl betrayed him when she teamed up with the other lady , saying all that even after understanding his emotions and motivation his choice of action is really cruel and with no actual conversation to at least understand her motives so yeah I ll wait for a bit and see if there is any development in the redemption front , although I wish the last 2 chapters didn’t happen, they are hard to get over .

Man, those panels at the end made me really sad. Maybe I’m wrong but not finishing her meal in an attempt to be “ladylike” really hit me because I vaguely remember that she enjoyed eating in the previous chapters.

I don’t him to pit her bit o think that’s the most were gonna get from this sociopath I want him to sympathise with her and allow her to live in a better place were she feels less stress away from his family drama. Maybe even learn a skill that can be useful in her life later.
