@Sabito, I’ve seen too many comments from you trash talking a victim, blaming her for the behavior she used to survive against those who tormented her. She never had anyone on her side before, so why would she suddenly believe she does in a foreign place among people she expects not to be on her side, esp because at first, they weren’t. She has no reason to trust any of the Omerta or anyone in the North, nor does she have reason to believe otherwise. They literally have to prove it to her by action, because words cannot be trusted by her own experience. Izke just did so, by his actions, so she’s willing to believe them because he proved himself consistently. And proving oneself trustworthy is not a one and done thing, it has to be consistent, over time. So how about you drop that awful attitude and appreciate how well the author does in exploring trauma, CPTSD, ED, and healing through that? Because unfortunately for us all, true healing cannot happen until the victim is removed from the place of trauma and continued abvse. Which only began when she went to the North, but regressed once her abvser arrived. You know, like how it would realistically happen. So shut the hell up, Sabito.
