To look from another perspective those who are on Freya’s side are almost the majority of the people who are loyal to the kingdom which means no matter what kind of things she said no one will favour Ruby over the evil Freya .. she needs to establish some power to be able to stand against her if there are some people from her bloodline or kingdom she can gain their trust and show some compassion..
