Holy shit what the fuck is wrong with you guys??? Ruby is traumatized, trauma is a universal thing, it hurts everyone differently. Ruby clearly has trust issues, so obviously she’s going to have trouble talking about her problems. This victim blaming is so showing on the type of people you guys all. I fucking hate you guys, don’t speak on other people especially when you saw what they went through. You guys are seriously fucked up. Never speak on victims again, you saw what she went through and still find a way to hate her, seriously fuck all you guys. Goodnight.

To all these people hating on Ruby, good for you!…
You are either, one, a “strongly confident” person who has always “fought” back against “abusers” or two, whinny bitches who have never worked hard or been in a truly heartwrenching or difficult situation in their entire lives. Maybe you are both🤷.
NEWS FLASH: For people who have been abused and neglected all their lives (in Ruby’s case both lives), you can’t just walk away and forget that.; especially when you feel like no one is going to help you. I think you fail to remember, we live in an age where social media, TV, schools, and a large part of society for the most part preach that psychological and physical abuse are all harmful and horrid things (and sadly there are still many countries and nations who do not believe in that sentiment).
Ruby has none of that. Plus, the only people she has around to help her already abuse, mock, and blame her for most things. An argument can be made that she now has good people, like Izek to help her, but for the following reasons, this argument is very shaky…
Reasons why Ruby feels like she can’t get help:
-Her closest family in both lives abused her and assaulted her
-Bullied in her previous life leading to her having no friends she could confide in
-Pressured by others not to say anything
-Only lifeline was her sister; who killed herself
-Trauma triggers that always make Ruby second guess herself
-An entire book plot explaining that Izek is supposed to hate and kill her
-A bad reputation her brother created so she could never get help
-People (Freya, the cardinal, and many [no spoilers] others) always praying and plotting for her downfall
-Anorexia and body dysmorphia issues (learned from her sister)
-Izek not communicating well (still poorly) until this late in the series
-Ellen’s past fight with Ruby not believing her and judging her eating disorder
-Ruby’s already weak confidence and weak will to live
I could keep going because this is stuff we only see in this webtoon and does not compare to some of the stuff explained in the actual novel…
When someone gets shot are you just going to tell them; “Suck it up bitch it’s just a gunshot!”. For Ruby, it is like she has been mentally shot so many times that at this point all she feels like she can do is give up and accept her fate.
I honestly hope you take a good look at yourself and reflect on your own beliefs after reading this bruh.

Ugh omg at this point I’m not defending the FL anymore. Whatever happens happens. At some point in life you gotta break free from your abusers and stand up for yourself. I feel bad for her, but she should know better by this point and realize that disassociating and running away is not helping her nor saving her. She needs to toughen up and the people who are worried about her need to speak directly to her and not avoid it. She will ruin her life if she keeps doing what she’s doing and perhaps ruin the lives of her loved ones
