idc what anyone says but the ML should suffer atleast for 5-10 in loneliness for his mistake. Lets assume that they feel in love just 1 month ago and this happened, fine its still too soon to completely trust her according to him but i bet u that even after 10 yrs if this happened. he will react the same way. His aide literally told him to wait for a few more days but the ML didnt. Him falling sick now doesnt make his mistake even slightly better. Its never gonna erase even the edge of the wound. If i was the author i would have made the FL lead his him silent treatment for atleast 2-3 yrs till he is done with the war(since he cares SOOOOOO MUCH ABOUT HIS FUCKING WAR) or even better if she moves away from him. THERE IS NO WAY TO REPAIRE THIS TRUST so i would prefer just starting over where she is given time to heal AWAY from him. AFTER she is healed, happy and has ATLEAST A PINCH OF SELF RESPECT AND DOESNT HAVE TO CONSTANTLY BE AFRAID OF DYING.
