there is also a possibility that the reason he hates the og fl is bc her mom did something and he thinks SHE betrayed him but i still believe that the evil bitch empress had something to do with it which brings me back to my false cheating theory

i usually predict the plot pretty easily and if i have to guess, the emperor probably did love the og female lead (i mean the adult version) and the empress (evil bitch) probably tricked him into believing that the og fl either cheated or didnt like him much. The cheating has more possibility. We can all agree that the reason he isnt the best to lirianna is probably bc he thinks she either hates him or is scared of him but it doesnt excuse is negliegence which might be bc he dosent want to get too close to her and get reminded of the og fl or bc again he thinks lirianna doesnt like him. Im not sure but there is also a possiblity that the blone daughter is a result of cheating or dark magic (very common plot) but since she has the same eyes as the emperor, she might just be a bitchy half sister
