There’s a good way to solve this
She can simply tell him that she noticed powers growing on her but didn’t know how to control them so she was scared to have them all around her cuz she was afraid she would accidentally hurt them. She was also not sure if her father would accept her after this change..
That way she’ll seem innocent and caring to them so she’ll regain their trust
Also I believe what we saw in the first chapters could also be a big misunderstanding and that it wasn’t his doing at all. There could be a twist there but that’s only what I’m thinking of.
