Living under the shadow of your younger sibling since young can’t be a good experience. If there was someone for him throughout that, he may have ended with a better character. Though this doesn’t excuse his present behaviour

I think Killian is quite pitiful. You know the famous lines : Villain aren’t born but made. That applies to him. Motherless child left without any loving attention, always compared to the younger sibling whose life seems perfect, happy with all the achievements, attention of everyone in the household. Lexion may have seemed like a male lead of a story with all the buffs, like “the villainess just wants to live in peace”.

You can’t beat the goodness into somebody. He should be supporting his brother and find something that he’s good at that makes himself happy. Being jelly is just gonna make himself and everyone else miserable.
