Cowering down in fear is a common response to people who were in the sort of situation that they were in, but they could have called out for help or huddled together defensively but they failed to do anything but watch.
As for the so called holy knight, he obviously had way too arrogant thought process, and was an aggressive person, which is not the type of qualities that should be required of a holy knight.
Holy knights should be compassionate and kind towards those who are weak and vulnerable.

They were afraid for their life, to fight someone of higher rank. And he was about to use his sword, so yes, I understand their fear. But they didn’t even try to call for help, so on that, they were wrong. I like what she did to punish him!

People in general are cowards…otherwise governments power wouldn’t ever be a problem. There would never be wars if most people weren’t cowardly enough to bow to and serve vile leaders. Most people aren’t evil, but are cowards that allow evil. As pathetic as it is, Its a fact of life.

My experience has been that crowds rarely stop bullying, mostly because they don’t want to be a target. It’s easy to blame the, but considering how they were treated before, they are probably terrified of being mistreated again. It take a strong person to step out and risk getting beaten up for it, knowing no one will save you, just to do the right thing for a stranger.
