The Duke is definitely stupid. He falsely accused her by mistake before and the villager lady defended her, THE SAME THING is happening again and instead of thinking oh maybe I’m misunderstanding again, he just straight up decides to distrust her. HIS BROTHER IS CLOSE TO HER, SHE’S HELPING GROW CROPS FOR THE PEOPLE, AND SHE DEFEATED THE ASSASSINS BEFORE BUT NEVER ATTACKED HIM OR HIS MEN. ….. bruh

@Stardust, not too many chapters before she had used her flames to destroy the blades and clothes of the enemy despite the Duke and his gaurd(?) Standing infront, it didn’t harm them or burn their weapons. This should be enough proof to show that she CAN be trusted. Atleast partly.
While it is true that she could possibly turn against them. All this while, she had been given multiple chances to kill them but she didn’t. When he held his sword to her throat, surely she could have simply burnt him and be done with it but she didn’t.
It would make more sense that she needs him for something; if she was toying with him, there are more interesting Duke’s to annoy so that’s unlikely.
