Just say that the ring is supposed to block some of your power from leaking out like before so they don’t end up in a dangerous situation again! If you have to have him touch you with just a finger and take the ring off let him realize the difference between the ring being on versus the ring being off! He should be able to tell the difference and then he should realize how important it is for her to keep it on!
He will slowly figure things out over time if she were to just let him know about little things here and there. And it’s pretty obvious he likes you so letting him know might actually be safer than not telling him about it.
I want her to at least inform him that giving the emperor a blessing will cost/use up her life force and would only make him feel better temporarily and that the second blessing will cost her life as it would use up all the rest of her life force and tell him how she dies coughing up blood and whatnot!!!
If he finds out about that he will definitely protect her and intervene if she gets put in a situation where she is going to be forced into giving a blessing.

Well she also didn’t tell him who she really is. He figured it out himself. That ring is for her safety and she doesn’t believe him enough to tell about it
