Honestly, I think he is the character I get the most out of this. There is no word in the English language for a parent who loses their child. It’s a concert that’s almost impossible to imagine. He’s been carrying the burden of his loss without ever letting his wife know, he has no hope. All of a sudden, here is this child that is staring him in the face with his dead daughter’s looks. It would be more difficult to understand if his heart wasn’t moved.
