Okay… SO her mother was clearly apart of the clan that saw ghosts, and must have died because of the seige on their tribe. Her mother died of a “mysterious illness”, already somehow knew her baby could see ghosts, and died around the same time ghost duke took out the tribe? Lil too obvious really.
