@mew IKR! This kind of story/scenes really cliche and annoying. Honestly if I can’t swim, I will not go near any water that can potentially make me drown….

Okay maybe it’s a stupid question, but why would somebody go on a boatride when you can’t swim?

social obligation most likely? or just the author using a plot device to force the ML to save the day and change the FL’s opinion about the man, even if it makes no sense (unless the novel covered the reason why)
