Hmm my theory is that the priest is the father of Deborah (secretly birthed by this FL) in the novel. So this FL (who was an unmentioned side character) in the novel could have been kept hidden (ehem the pills) and was married off to this “priest” or was made pregnant by this priest who has a light attribute too. That’s given the premise that the barony has always prioritized breeding light elemental users.
