*just for doing hw. Some kids didn’t even pass, and their mommy was like “You got a D? That teacher must suck, here’s a giftcard champ!”. Once a kid stole my expensive mittens I got for xmas from my granny, and their mom told mine they were cute, kept them, and reluctantly paid my mom back only a portion of what they cost.

Don’t reward too much bc good grades are to be expected, not every little thing should be celebrated. I hated kids in my class that would get paid or get a new toy for doing homework, like bruh I was allowed to LIVE under my parents roof. Rewards were saved for passing a tough test, tutoring my younger sibling if they were struggling, or a good report card.
