Also, they don’t treat her properly, so she hasn’t been trained in magic, their king or emperor called them to send in a magic user, and they send their most incompetent. Are they not seeing that they’re sending a negative message to their own kingdom/empire by doing that? It’s like they’re offering table scraps to someone they should be offering a feast to, disrespecting their own kingdom/empire. That’s some bold egoism.
