I think we’re all missing the point: the curse was originally on that shitty Marquis (the prior duchess’s brother) and somehow, by murdering his sister and brother in law, he managed to send the curse to our ML and he was counting on that move to make his daughter the duchess and, later when the curse would subdue and kill our ML, he would become the duke by proxy. But, we agree that our FL must acess her new body’s old memory to resolve this issue ;/
