For those who don’t understand the story:
FL is dying. Her only friend is the ML to another woman’s story that wasn’t supposed to start until after FL’s death, but things seem to have jumpstarted earlier due to how different FL is from the original body she’s in.
ML was something of a psychopath when he was a child so his parents basically brainwashed him to do good things and help others, and he’s been doing that all his life, but FL is slowly breaking down those barriers so he can be less constrained by the idea of being good to everyone all the time since it ends up in him being used by others a lot.
Ash (the red-haired guy) is someone who was the villain of the original story, trying to get in the way of ML, and their family has a history of antagonism between them. He’s recently been bad-mouthing the ML around town and having people under his employ also pretend to be civilians and spreading bad stories about the ML. To get back at him, FL has decided to go to a party and humiliate him a bit by challenging him to an arm wrestling contest since a tonic she was given will give her a small strength boost (as well as some magic cast on her just before the party that will also boost her strength). Her idea is that Ash won’t turn down her request for an arm wrestle after she gave him a gift that he’d see as insulting, and thus he’d be shown to be a weakling in front of everyone at the party – just a petty act of tweaking his nose to get back at him.
No life or death stakes between them yet, since they’re still rather young, but something that will get people talking about him a bit when he makes a fool of himself.
