Just so you know, Viola is by no means a bitch or a bad person, she loves her brother Char very much and wants what is best for him, but at the same time, Arianne is everything she ever wanted to be; strong, beautiful, intelligent, and brave. Viola does not want Arianne to be bound by the Aristocracy, despite the benifits that may come by Arianne marrying Chart and becoming the Duchess. She feels that Arianne is meants for greater things than being cast into her husband’s shadow, and Viola also knows that Chart casts the largest shadow in the entire Empire. So, in conclusion, while VIola does love her brother Chart, she also loves her to-be sister-in-law, and does not want her to be overshadowed the the greatness of Chart.

Aw, seems like she’s looking out for her, since to her marriage is forced onto the woman and adds a ton of restrictions (which pretty much is how it is in this world). Especially after finding out how fl got her own title and with her thinking “it’s almost a shame to see her bound by anything”, even while knowing that her brother’s not a bad guy, her own trauma probably wants to try to prevent that from happening to her too :c unless she is just saying it for a petty reason, then my bad for overthinking it lol
(Hope this is still understandable, I haven’t slept yet and this is the best I can arrange my thoughts right now lol)
