The time line is so messed up but from what I can understand, the timeline of Marchen’s miscarriage is probably a year or two before the landslide incident. As seen on previous chapter, while she grieves her child’s death, ML tried to appease her with OG MC/ML’s children (which is obviously a bad move done with good intentions, he is so clueless this block head) anyways, the kids was way tinier that time, plus shorter baby hair and it looks like he borrowed them from their parents. There is also another year or less, in-between the parents death and him bringing them to his mansion, since there is also a flashback chapter about him staying with the children’s grandfather and the assassination attempt that pushed him to bring them home to Marchen. This is what I understand the timeline is, I could be wrong tho

The pacing of this story is weird. Totally skips the revelation of the parents death by the kids, no clear indicator about how much time has passed and the ml saying things will change and hasn’t really done anything. Might be the bad translation but i dunno.

I like that he is the first one to fall for her but still can’t forgive him what he said and done when she had her miscarriage.
I just can’t accept him until he is begging and full of regrets
