Mc is the dukes real daughter. The mom took mc when the duchess died and raised her. Mcs “mom” was also pregnant but lost her real baby bcuz the emperor. Harris is a fake. And how Harris seen a lil boy when looking at mc is bcuz that’s Mcs twin , pretty sure if I remember correctly she has something to do with mcs missing twin and that’s how she got the necklace and shawl. ( the duchess had twins mc and a boy which are twins )
Y’all make some interesting points, I’m not sure which side of things I believe or want to be. It wouldn’t be impossible for them to fake the body, after all how long was she dead when they found her, did they identify her by her accessories? Tho that would not explain the “ghost” That said to take care of them, however that could have just been in his head or something.

Either she forgot or magic was involved, she told her daughter what she was told (or was magically led to believe) & so the daughter had wrong information. The previous Emperor may not have been a good guy either (possibly coveting someone else wife) & the current emperor knows what’s up & needed the duke’smagic (through his daughter) for something. The reason she being kept asleep is that the author can’t have the adults talking to each other and sorting things out too soon. 🙃

tbh i don’t think she’s really related to them, even though it kinda feels like it is leading up to her being a lost child. looking back on what we already have learned, her father was the emperor before he was killed, She is currently 5 years old and her father was murdered when she was 3, and i believe it said soon after her mother died the grand duke, her “step-father” of sorts, dies a little while after from execution from starting a rebellion. however, a suspicious point is how both her and her mother were hidden away by her father to protect them, i wonder if he was truly protecting them. there’s a possibility that her mother lost her memory after she was kidnapped and her father hid her away to keep her hidden from the grand duke instead of protecting them from other nobles, there’s no doubt that if she was out in the open she would have run into him in noble society and as the empress of the nation. i don’t recall if the previous chapter stated how long ago it was that the grand duchess passed away or if they found her body, but im assuming that they didn’t considering that the other daughter arrived with her shawl. it feels like it was a planned event.
