yeah I saw that too. From what I’ve seen, the artist does some cool representative and symbolic stuff to better articulate what’s going on (these characters emote/communicate really atypically, remember, and/or don’t understand their own emotions at a functional level, so it’s helpful for the readers to have some visual cues that aren’t facial expressions and words).
So what does a mostly full glass mean? Well in Western culture ( I don’t know about the rest of the world) we have the phrases “My cup runneth over.” It’s a biblical reference, often an expression of gratitude or emotional fulfillment.
We also have the perception test of “glass half-full, glass half-empty” to determine if someone is an optimist or a pessimist (my grandfather joked that there was the third alternative of the realist, who says “This glass is twice as big as necessary.”)
For my part, I’m gonna say that Valeta Delight’s cup of hope/joy/gratitude for life is finally starting to fill up.
