   Lighting Struck Tower reference again;
   The beauty of Tarot cards is this: interpretation depends on the reader’s context and perspective. Using Tarot symbolism thus preserves mystery and ambiguity in a plot WHILE offering foreshadowing *and* illumination.
   This reference appears as a backdrop to the Emperor’s monologue–hence, we must assume that it’s his perspective. But we as limited-omniscient readers suspect that the Emperor is responsible for Roste, etc.
   So, *our* reading is: “The Emperor is playing God.”
   Also I think I spy an Ace of Swords. Go to town, children.
