most of the time in storys like that you can put mana or aura in a sword to kill monsters but you can`t do the same with bullits

So, the MC was basically had the talent of a Van Gogh but decided to throw everything away to be a doctor because doctors earn more? Kinda deserves to starve IMO.
Also, why those kind of stories never try to explain why a sharp piece of metal swung at a good speed through a sword/spear/etc can kill a monster but a piece of metal flung at incredible high speed through a gun has no effect in the same monster?
