Imo, it’s not a second life, his body did transform to a woman so people won’t recognise him and he can “start a new life”. But he still sucrificied half. His life span for his shity hero comrades, still has a demon curse on his heart. If he gets a long life without the curse than yey otherwise… not many ups to the change.
