I think they’re In cahoots with the other knight commander. The Crimson one.
Since commander knights are directly under the emperor, if i read it right.
If its that, i assume FL getting sent to war is also a factor
The benefit is still mysterious, but Its the only thing i can speculate… Since her parents are not so famous aristocrat, meaning it would’ve been a perfect target
