After reading tons of both rofan and action-fantasy series, here’s the thing—don’t expect real fighting scenes in romance. Most of the time, fights are just excuses to show off how “cool” the ML and FL look in flashy, impractical outfits. But when it comes to actual battle arcs—wars, duels, strategy—they usually fall flat.
Perfect example: they drag out the tournament arc just to flex the MC, but rush through something as important as the Duke arc. The pacing is a mess.
I’ve read at least a hundred rofan stories, and none of them even come close to delivering real action like Heavenly Demon Can’t Live a Normal Life or Revenge of the Iron-Blooded Sword Hound.

This story has weird pacing. I thought it was slow before but the recent chapters moved fast.
This story is kind of random (and stupid) at choosing which parts to drag out. They took forever with mc showing herself and that tournament thing. But then this whole evil duke and being a traitor thing only took a few chapters. It seems like the evil duke black magic reveal should have taken longer, while the stupid arc from earlier should have been shorter. One is WAY more important than the other.
I have been saying since last year that the emperor was useless. If he just handled those nobles when he took the throne, none of this would have happened. And he had the perfect excuse too. Back then they didn’t support him, so he could have used his power to put them in their place. Limp dxck fxcking idiot.

I said before and I’ll keep saying it: USELESS EMPEROR!!! Most of this could have been avoided if he just dealt with that treasonous duke from the beginning.
I still hate that former red knight commander. Useless f*cker. MC really should have left him to die.
