It’s seems the basilisk is more akin to a demon than a snake. It makes a deal, only let’s the summoner control it as far as the deal went then does whatever it wants. That smaller lizard that got summon by the silver haired girl I wouldn’t call a dragon but I’m guessing it’s categorized as one so maybe the basilisk is also dragon-kin?
