One thing that I wish manhwa writers using the faux-european settings would get right is ranks of nobility. Regardless of relationship to nobility, A Marquis/Marquess is *orders of magnitude* greater than a Count. Handel being the son of a count, regardless of being the nephew of a concubine, would be in *serious* trouble for physically assaulting the daughter of a Marquess. Depending on which set of European nobility the authors are trying to lift from, a Marquess is in effect the same level of respect as a Duke – just that Ducal families tended to be those with relationships to royalty. A Marquess would hold power over multiple counties like a duke and often be high ranking governmental ministers. Counts were just effectively local lords.
