Worst, she left that blasted letter, she basically burned bridges, not just to her “lover” but to all his subordinates. So yes, they would want an explanation, especially because their boss is very precious to them.

Yeah, fml being a dumbass instead revealing the truth whether silently or vocally. She rather run away with all the trust people gave her and now… people doesnt know how to treat her anymore.
