I hate this butler.
Even if he treated ML as his own son, you don’t control your child who to date and who not to date.
All these maids are also too out of boundaries.
No matter how much you love your employer as your family; a job is still a job for you to do.
Intentionally neglecting any guests of their employers is highly unprofessional and not respectful.
They don’t have to treat FL like before, but basic etiquette to care for a guest is bare minimum.
FL didn’t even beat/ insult ML at all. She just left silently. It wasn’t that bad.

@all readers below, it’s true that communication is important, but verbal communication is NOT always effective, especially in this situation.
She was too scared/vulnerable/ anxious to disclose her terminal illness before.
Not everyone is brave/ open-minded enough to disclose their weaknesses/ privacy, especially she thought she would die in 3 months.
If you say that you would, congratulations. However, not everyone can be this brave and honest.
And now she returned after ML won the war, everyone would think that she is just materialistic.
Even if she explained the true reasons, people would just think that those are made-up excuses/ lies.
@Excarlet, you’re exactly right that she needs to start being “trustworthy”.
What are most trustworthy? Being a competent Madam of the house, because actions speak louder than words.
If she can prove with actions that she is taking responsibility in taking care of this home well, she is a trustworthy and deserved lady; instead of saying that she was innocent and became a “victim”.

I hate that they suck at communicating. As Excarlet and Romance already said, a lot could be resolved by just explaining the situation to the staff.
At the same time I like that they actually show here that his staff really wouldn’t be thrilled to see her back, after what she did to Ash. Many stories would have went with “yay, she’s back! Everyone celebrate!” instead.

I agree with you Excarlet, communication goes a long way this is what irks me about these manhwas. She should just apologize and explain it and Ash should talk to his staff. I get they care about him and are loyal but you still don’t disrespect your master’s wishes. She could have died (we know not really cause she’s got plot armor) but that was more than just being neglectful.

To be honest, if she just explain her situation and apologise…. a half or perhaps quarter of that maid probably willing to attend her again. She ran away without explanation and then come back again like it was nothing. Im glad she taking accountability but in the wrong way. Its not about making herself useful but making herself trustworthy. She can work her ass off and i doubt anything will change.
