Wtf is wrong with @TOFU_BAYBEE i’m also a victim of sexual assault … it’s took me years to stand up for my self and i’m seen edith here she is strong fr i feel fucking bad for her …. u are not a person went through such a thing at all .. i can clearly see that … a person experience who demostic violence always have fear to their abuser just like me to my father … it’s not fucking easy to against them all i can do is hide or scream for help .. just shut the fuck up dude
I’d like to say as someone who’s also been abused and neglected, we are not all strong girl bosses and out for revenge. I don’t enjoy being a living pity party, I’m just hanging on trying to survive and wait out the storm. Every time I think my life is about to turn around smth bad happens like its a curse, no joke (usually a pet that was healthy dies out of nowhere from cancer or smth unpreventable). Through it all I just become thankful for the roof over my head, running water, etc. I don’t find FL being railroaded by misfortune satisfying or unrealistic at all. What I do find satisfying is her will to not completely breakdown, distract herself, and pursue smaller goals. When you get beaten down so much you tend not to think logically at times, bc we are not machines.
@TOFU_baybee Rudbeckia is another female lead in a Manhwa called How to Get My Husband On My Side who by some people get hated on for being “weak” as she doesn’t really stand up for herself as her opponents are people who have abused her for about all her life and some girl who is just very jealous
I was having a conversation about this very topic with my friend. The fact that so many people write female leads in a violated position ISNT NEW it’s very common and if you want to enjoy it and sympathize with it COOL but as someone who’s been abused I would actually like to see Edith get stronger. That’s not disgusting it’s VALID. I do expect the story to give her strength at some point so why can’t I want it????

Someone was taking a poll on YT for who was a miserable FL and Edith was winning at 79%. I agree. I have enjoyed this story and understand Ediths goal is to lay low to not be seen as a bad person but this is getting ridiculous. First they let her husband use her constantly for $ex then the maid beats her lights out, now we are back to her being mistreated by the staff while she sits there and smiles like pls writers give her a fkn backbone soon, I’m getting tired.
