In this scene Duke didn’t say anything like that, it was Killian who said my wife have our surname so she is not guilty moreover that good looking aide come in time to be a witness which proved that FL is innocent so Duke and oriML reluctantly accept this outcome and FL was transfer to underground jail for a while which Killian protest but couldn’t do anything right away coz of execution moreover Rize was panicking and try to make FL change her mind so she couldn’t complete 3rd and finale condition of this world reset and her author authority… She said to FL to beg for life etc etc but FL didn’t moreover she also lower her head to make it easy for Killian to kill her…
Novel Is the best coz it didn’t whitewash any characters when regret remorse repentance is must… in manga they whitewash many scenes where FL got abused by family members or others… Everyone regret their biased behavior moreover oriML kinda knew Rize is special and she had dark side too… He liked her the way she is, he never said anything about her dark side or true nature coz he feared that she will runaway or hide herself if she got to know that he knows she is not innocent or kind girl…

Its not too soon for the rudwick family to trust edith anymore. Her contributions to the family are a lot, they should have trust her now. And most of it thanks to the system which make them now questioning their early judgement toward edith. Everyone now “awaken” from the control, so I feel like this end is okay too

Little disappointed about the plot change because I cried so much reading the novel version and I’m expecting the manwha version to be that good but here we are… Better read the novel to really feel the emotion.
