@Shi_rin I agree the way it was portrayed in the novel was way better since this seems to abrupt and sudden how they’re tying things up rather than showing how Edith truly claims the third exception and breaks the influence of the author/Lize. This seems too sloppy.

I’m disappointed as I prefer how it was handled in the novel. Real depth between the characters instead of random redemption after overheard conversation.
However I do hope that Cliff won’t have his happy ending.
