Wait What
Vespia,
Not necessarily. His introduction was as a ‘journalist’ or ‘author’ whose job is disseminating news from the castle to the rest of the central region (the mage’s region). He’s actually some sort of familiar contracting mage, as Luce (whatever rendition of her name you want) turns out to be a tremendously powerful demon who just happens to make pretty clothes.
That’s why manhwas play with the ideas of ‘gods’ as ‘authors’ so often–because one of the definitions for ‘author’ is ‘creator’ or ‘originator’. In that sense, an author is the creator god of a story. However, I’ve seen many authors speak to the experience of having characters seem to take on a life of their own, and write themselves, as Estefania seems to be doing.
But originally, Angelica (is that her name?) is supposed to be a basically honorable person, who is inspired to reform the Eastern country by her twin sister’s tragic death. Her sense of *justice* is the defining aspect of her role as the ‘protagonist’.

In my mind, it’ll be best if she apologizes and FL accepts but doesn’t agree to reengage. Getting an apology is the least she deserves, but there’s NO reason to keep a toxic relationship. If the sister is smart she will recognize that and wait for if or when the FL is in a better place, and if that time is never, well that’s the consequence of her blindness.
