That’s cute, but kind of controlling of how he wants her weaknesses. I get comforting a partner if they are sick, sad, or need your support for something. Just not this level of jealousy, when he’s not going to try and change his behavior or wrongdoings. He wants to steal her happiness from a better man who views her as equal, communicates, and RESPECTS her as a human being with boundaries. If he truly cared he would let her go or make an actual effort to change his toxicness despite the jealousy. He doesn’t need to become a person he’s not like batman to a superman. Just not a douche who treats her like an object and doesn’t stalk/control her every move bc she doesn’t do it to him back.
