I hate to tell you but ChocoCookie was right. Rian was never meant to exist. All his power comes from sucking the power Riarte has through his link as twins to her. The mother paid the ultimate price due to his leech like existence because he sucked her life force out when he was in a whomb. He was supposed to born a stillborn but his parasitic body sucked the life out of the mother, killing her for him to be born. All in all, Rian will gradually lose power once he seperated from Riate, because he has no source to suck power out of.

Thank you for your essay, but I disagree with you on 2 points.
They didn’t think the boy is the main child because of his gender. He was the most gifted in the family while the girl wasn’t even awakened, (though that might have been inspiration/message)
Secondly, The spirt king calls the boy “fake” because he is a twin of the girl, and a kind of ‘cheap copy’. He’s probably so powerful because of her and would have similar ‘auras’ or something. To the spirit king he would have looked like a fake.

Ok, idk how much wrong or right i am but here is wat i understood so far:
1. Dad seems to insinuate that one of the twins used to be none existent as in the mother was supposed to give birth to one child
2. The birth of the second child resulted in the mother’s death who was weak
3. Everyone thinks the boy is the main child cause that’s how the old times have always been. Screw the girl and live long boys
4. The spirt king calls the boy “fake”. He didn’t call any other person who was brought to him as fake but just that one boy
My take: the boy was not supposed to be born and she wasn’t a twin. Prolly the royals have sth to do with the twin thing. The birth of the boy caused the mother to die and the father to fall into despair and go mad. And the girl who is the real child is taking all the blame just bcs she is a “GIRL” and there is absolutely no way in hell that she wasn’t supposed to give birth to a boy
I am so happy to be born in a modern family rn. I can’t believe i am wishing 4 this but i really wanna see the downfall of this family
