She’s both titles. They’re using concubine and consort interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing. Consort is a title. She has a high standing next to the Prince. She’s basically in a place holder right now (Princess Consort). She will become the Crown Princess once he becomes the Crown Prince. Her mother is a concubine as well as the 2nd through 4th Princess’ mothers. Because they had relations with her father and produced children (though children are not a requirement to be a concubine). I believe they are married to him (otherwise they would be Mistresses, I think), but they have no real power. Her father’s actual wife Queen/Empress (can’t remember if her father was a King or Emperor), the 1st wife, is the Queen/Empress and has power – albeit, less than her husband. But before that she was a Crown Princess and before that she would’ve been the Princess Consort. If my understanding of titles is correct. I could be totally wrong though. That’s just what I’ve gathered from all the mangas of this type that I’ve read.
Also, in case it ever comes up when you read another manga – if a kingdom/empire does not have a Crown Princess or Princess (basically the ruler does not have a daughter) then the oldest daughter of a Duke will be called Princess. The difference of Prince/ss and Crown Prince/ss is that the Crown Prince/ss is in line for the thrown and is the heir. They will eventually be crowned. The other siblings who are not the heir are just called Prince/ss. Hope that helps!
