   @Ann_ann For real it was super weird. It’s not like she had some terminal illness where the shock of finding out could be too much for her. She is pregnant and has the right to know. This practice just gives creepy noble men who have mistresses the opportunity to cause their wives to miscarry without even knowing they are pregnant like happens in other stories. The patient is the one who has the foremost right to know what is going on with their body.

   I don’t understand why the author would add that weird detail of the doctor going outside with the husband to tell ONLY him the news of HER expecting a child. Like, hello?the pregnant one is there lying on the bed? Mind you, it’s a fantasy world, there is no “rule” or anything concerning pregnancies here. Giving me the biggest ick for real
